As a User Experience Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on our High Performance Computing (HPC) Project. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and analyzing user needs and addressing those needs thorough thoughtful user experience design. You will collaborate with customers to design and mock-up dashboards for next-generation HPC capabilities. Your main focus will be designing solutions that enhance end-users’ daily workflow and improve operational efficiency. You will also work closely with product managers and development teams to implement proposed design solutions.
What you will do
- Interview users to understand their role in the system, what they need to be able to accomplish, and what challenges might prevent them from doing so;
- Applying interview insights to define user workflows within the system and design thoughtful interactions for users to step through those workflows;
- Creating low-fidelity and mid-fidelity mockups to storyboard the user’s experience and define the interaction process;
- Iterating on the decision through user testing;
- Answering questions for the development team as they arise;
- Reworking the design as necessary due to technological constraints;
- Working with the UI designer to ensure the UX is accomplish through the design of the UI; and
- Designing the information architecture of each page as required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, a related technical degree, or a related discipline (with additional related experience) from an accredited college of university.
