Job Description: This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As a Mission Management Process Engineer on our team, you will provide process improvement (PI), engineering methodologies, and principles to effectively improve and align Enterprise-level processes. You will facilitate project teams in accomplishing project activities and objectives; and coordinate the transfer of new processes and practices to project teams by providing group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer. You will also act as a key coordinator between multiple project teams to ensure Enterprise-wide integration of engineering efforts.In addition, you will:Develop the plans for process assessmentsWork closely with the project team members to determine organizational readiness for assessment as well as in conducting assessmentsCoordinate and schedule process assessmentsLead assessment teams in conducting both formal and informal assessmentsAnalyze assessment results and make improvement recommendationsLead Process Improvement effort utilizing CMM/CMI or other similar process modelsInterpret and promote the use of Process Improvement best practicesEnsure processes are established and documented to support the application and institutionalization of sound systems engineering discipline and continuous process improvement | ||
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:Ten (10) years of experience with Process Improvement on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Experience is to include, within the last ten years, five years of experience in facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, process engineering across all phases of acquisition identifying best practices, change management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Education from an accredited college or university is required. A High School diploma and four years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.Position requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
